Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Soho House provide a choice of spectacular and elegant locations for your dream wedding.
We are grateful to the many individuals who have left a gift in their will to Birmingham Museums Trust. Leaving a legacy gift is one of the most enduring ways in which you can benefit Birmingham's museums and heritage sites.
Previous legacies have supported:
The publication of a beautifully illustrated and impeccably researched book to accompany the internationally successful 2011 exhibition The Poetry of Drawing, Pre-Raphaelite Designs, Studies & Watercolours.
The multi-million pound project 'Birmingham: its people, its history', with a new suite of galleries dedicated to telling the story of the history of Birmingham from prehistory to the present day.
The acquisition of an exquisite collection of silver church plate from Castle Bromwich parish church, and now on display at the newly refurbished Aston Hall.
In addition to monetary gifts, 25,000 items within our collection have been left to us as bequests.
All legacy gifts are welcome, no matter how large or small, and could contribute towards acquiring new works, conserving the art and heritage in our care, ground breaking temporary exhibitions, and significant capital projects. Birmingham Museums Trust welcomes bequests worded in general terms. This will give us the flexibility to direct your donation to where the need is greatest.
How to Include a Bequest in your Will
There are several ways in which your Will can express your bequest. A Residuary Legacy will not lose over time the value you intended it to have. Alternatively, you could leave a fixed amount of money or an item of property in a Pecuniary or Specific Legacy. If you wish to leave an item of property this should be agreed with Birmingham Museums Trust in advance.
Please speak to your solicitor to ensure that your wishes are met in your Will. If you decide to leave us a bequest please include the name Birmingham Museums Trust and our charity number 1147014.
For a confidential and informal discussion about leaving a bequest to Birmingham Museums Trust, please contact Rachel Cockett, Director of Development on 0121 348 8016.
