Adopt an Object

Adopt an Object and help care for your favourite collections at Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery.

We offer world class museums at the cultural heart of Birmingham, but we need your support to thrive. By making a donation and adopting an object, you will help us care for our collection, preserve local and national heritage, and inspire thousands of people every year.

Whether your passion is for Pre-Raphaelite art or ancient civilisations, we hope you will get involved and Adopt an Object for yourself or as a unique gift for your friends and family.

How it works

Each object in our Adoption Catalogue (pdf file) has a suggested minimum donation for you to make - from £10 to £5,000. You can also view the objects on Flickr.

As a thank you for your donation, you will receive a variety of benefits including a certificate of adoption, an information sheet on your object, and a fridge magnet photo of your object as a permanent memento.

We'll credit you on our website and for larger donations you will also receive invitations to exclusive Private Viewings and a print of your image. For a full list of benefits, please see the table below.
