Birmingham Museums Trust was formed in April 2012 and comprises nine sites across Birmingham.  It is one of the largest museum trusts in the country and the city’s most popular visitor attraction:

• 1 in 3 leisure visitors to Birmingham visited our Museums in 2010/11
• Birmingham Museums welcomed c900,000 people through its doors last year
• Birmingham Museums has over half a million items in its collections, housed across nine sites
• Visitors to our temporary exhibitions have doubled in the past 5 years
• Our award winning learning teams facilitated visits by over 70,000 schoolchildren in 2010/11
