City of Culture 2013

Birmingham is bidding to be the UK City of Culture 2013. It is exciting news that Birmingham's application has made the shortlist and a final bid has to be submitted by the end of May 2010.

The bid has been named 'Big City Culture' as this reflects Birmingham’s status as a global city with a world class programme of arts and cultural activities with a local heart offering these activities to our richly diverse communities.
