Did you know that many of our museums offer free admission on the first weekend of the month (Saturday or Sunday depending on venue)? You can also enjoy a wide range of fascinating events and activities for all the family at all of our sites this weekend, including the ever-popular Big Brum History Buz.
Saturday 6th October
Free admission to the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter
10.30am – 4pm
Sunday 7th October
Free admission to Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall ,
12noon – 4pm
Aston Hall will also be celebrating all things Victorian with its Glorious Aston event. This family fun day offers something for everyone.
Visitors can meet some real animals with Animal Tastic; a female tight rope walker will encourage everyone to have a practice on a low wire and the Fool Monty is on hand to teach you circus skills you never knew you had!
In celebration of the balloons that were launched into the air in Queen Victoria's day, visitors will be able to make their own kite and have ago at flying it in the park.
To complete the day, why not raise a toast to Queen
Big Brum History Buz
Also on Sunday the Big Brum History Buz will be running its ‘Manufactories and Mansions’ open-top guided bus service to Aston Hall, Soho House and the Pen Room Museum.
