Free admission to the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter on Sat 5th May, and to Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill on Sunday 6th May.
Did you know that many of our museums offer free admission on the first weekend of the month? You can also enjoy a wide range of fascinating events and activities for all the family at all of our sites this Bank Holiday weekend, including the ever-popular Big Brum History Buz.
Saturday 5th May
Craft Fayre at Blakesley Hall
Sat 5th May, 12noon – 4pm
Come along and browse the many vintage and historic craft stalls at Blakesley Hall this Saturday. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view spinning and weaving in the historic house.
Free admission to the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter on Saturday 5th May, 10.30am – 4pm
Sunday 6th May
Free admission to Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill on Sunday 6th May, 12noon – 4pm. (Aston Hall is closed as it is a Aston Villa home game).
At Sarehole Mill you will also get a chance to meet Mick the Miller and let him give you an insight into his age-old craft.
Big Brum History Buz
Also on Sunday the Big Brum History Buz will be running its ‘Tolkien and Tudors’ open-top guided bus service to Sarehole Mill and Blakesley Hall.
First bus 11.30 from Victoria Square.
Tickets: £3 adults, children free. No prebooking available.
