Community Museums are holding a wedding fayre at Blakesley Hall on 18th September.
Three of Birmingham's Community Museums are available for weddings, and Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Soho House have got together to stage a Wedding Fayre at Blakesley Hall on Sunday 18th Spetember.
Blakesley Hall will be set up for a wedding on the day and wedding suppliers will be there to offer everything needed for the big day. The Fayre also features bridal cat-walk shows. The Wedding Fayre takes place from 12pm - 4pm.
The Great Hall at Blakesley Hall can accommodate wedding 40 guests and is finely furnished in 17th century style. Weddings with up to 60 guests take place in the 17th century barn with its original oak beams and flagstone floor. The formal lawns, orchard and traditional herb garden offer excellent opportunities for photographs.
Aston Hall is a Grade I listed historic house surrounded by fifty acres of parkland. Weddings at this Jacobean house take place in the Great Hall with its magnificent fireplace can seat up to 80 wedding guests. The spacious grounds provide many opportunities to take photographs including the serene Lady Holtes' Garden.
Soho House is an elegant Georgian home with delightful gardens, making it one of Birmingham’s most unique and special venues. Ceremonies take place in the original Dining Room, known as the Lunar Room. The Lunar Room can seat up to 34 guests and bride and groom. With colourful flowerbeds, lawns, unusual trees and a Hermitage, the gardens provide an ideal backdrop for photographs.
