’Birmingham – A City in the Making’ is one of BMAG’s most exciting and ambitious projects to date. It forms part of our vision for the development of the museum over the next 20 years, and it will help ensure this iconic Victorian Grade II* listed building meets the needs of 21st century visitors.

The new galleries will bring to life the inspiring story of our city, and will attract people who have never visited the museum before.

We have already secured funding for the project from a number of sources, including Birmingham City Council, The Friends of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and the DCMS Wolfson Fund.

We now need your help and generosity to reach our £1 million fundraising target!

There are a number of ways you can support this campaign:

Make a Donation – We are very grateful for all donations, however small, which will be directed straight to this appeal. Please visit our Make a Donation page.

Adopt An Object – Help conserve and exhibit a BMAG object by adopting it - from medieval stocks to beautiful Georgian buttons, and even a World War Two teddy bear! For further information and a full list of objects available for adoption, please visit our Adopt an Object page.

Corporate Sponsorship – We are seeking corporate partners to support the education and community outreach work of the history galleries. To find out more, please contact Hollie Smith-Charles, Fundraising & Development Manager, T: 0121 303 1677, E: hollie.smith-charles@birmingham.gov.uk

Your donations, big or small, will help us achieve far more than would otherwise be possible.

Thank you for your support.
