Aston Hall, Soho House, Sarehole Mill and Blakesley Hall reopen on Saturday 9 April.

Spring is finally here and Birmingham's Community Museums are re-opening!

These unique sites with their fascinating collections allow us to discover the rich and diverse history of Birmingham. 

Did you know that Lord Nelson visited Soho House in 1802 or that JRR Tolkien was inspired by Sarehole Mill? All of the museums, including the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter have excellent tea rooms, and a full programme of events and activities suitable for all ages. Soho, Sarehole, Blakesley and Aston all have stunning gardens where you can enjoy a picnic and take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Highlights of our event programme this year include Soho's Steam Day, a Falconry Day at Blakesley Hall and A Call to Arms, demonstrations of sword-fighting and archery at Weoley Castle. 

Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall, Sarehole Mill, Soho House are open Tues to Sun 12- 4pm and on Bank Holiday Mondays. Aston Hall is closed on Villa home match days.

The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter is open Tues to Sat 10.30-4pm. Weoley Castle Ruins viewing area is open every day.

Admission Prices

  • Adults  £4
  • Concessions £3
  • Children under 16 FREE
  • Annual multi site pass £16
  • Sarehole Mill has slightly lower prices of £3 for adults and £2 for concessions due to it being a smaller site

Free entry for the following:

  • Under-16s free of charge
  • Access to all site visitor centres, gardens and grounds are free.
  • There will be a number of free days at every site throughout the year.
