'A Family Concern: The Jewellery Quarter at War'

Performers from Pattern 23 Theatre Company will be carrying out a series of special promenade drama performances ‘A Family Concern: The Jewellery Quarter at War’ in the historic setting of the former Smith & Pepper factory.
 
On 9th, 10, 11th, 12th, 13th September, through immersive performance, visitors can meet with the proprietors of the traditional family business and discover how the different members of the family were affected by war, and how skills of those in the jewellery trade were redeployed during the First World War. Visitors will be invited to go back in time to hear the real stories of people’s lives during the First World War.  
 
Meet performers in full early 20th century dress as they prepare to take on the personas of former workers at the Smith & Pepper factory, and discover how this local family was affected by the First World War.
