Saturday Arts Club

Saturday Arts Club

Location: Birmingham Museum

23rd August 2014 - 23rd August 2014

Our Saturday Arts Club for children aged 5-11 is a chance for children (and their parents) to experience working with real artists and creative practitioners. Children will be able to explore their creativity under the gentle guidance of Ruth Radcliffe, Benny Semp or one of our guest artists and be inspired by the lovely works in our exhibitions and displays.

This session will be lead by local artist Angel and will introduce children to using UV light to add an extra dimension to paintings.  There will be a chance to view her work and find out more about this technique whilst having a go themselves.

Children can attend just one or all of the sessions, we don't take advance booking but we do expect participants to be able to stay for most of the session. The sessions run from 10.30 -12.30.

Please note -  tickets for children (accompanying adults free if they want to stay) are £5 per head from the activity zone at the start of the session.

We will be offering the participants the opportunity to work towards the Explore or Discover Arts Award as part of these sessions.
