Location: Birmingham Museum

Join us and make your own artwork to take home every week day of the Birmingham summer school holidays.

Sessions run 11-1 and 2-4, Monday to Friday in the Activity Zone on floor 2 of the Museum. £1 per participating child. Just drop-in - no need to book. We can get busy at peak times so there might be a short wait to take part.

Junk Modelling (21, 23, 25, 29 & 31 July)

 Join in, get hands on and help us make amazing 3D creations from recycled materials inspired by Rowland Emett’s marvellous machines.

 Mini Moving People & Machines (22, 24, 28, 30 July & 1 August)

 Get creative and make your own 2D moving parts  person or hot air balloon using  inspired by our exhibition.

Colourful Patterns (4, 6, 8, 12 &14 August)

 Try out different techniques to make colourful artworks inspired by Zarah Hussain’s work.

 Mosaics (5, 7, 11, 13 &15 August)

 Have a go at mosaic making and create your very own artwork to take home plus add to our giant mosaic and help us make a huge, colourful artwork!

Pin-Hole Cameras (18, 20, 22, 26 & 28 August)

 Make your own pin-hole camera to take home.

 Cyanotype Pictures (19, 21, 25, 27 & 29 August)

 Create your own collage then watch your picture appear using light to expose the image!
