Our Saturday Arts Club for children aged 5-11 is a chance for children (and their parents) to experience working with real artists and creative practitioners. Children will be able to explore their creativity under the gentle guidance of Ruth Radcliffe, Benny Semp or one of our guest artists and be inspired by the lovely works in our exhibitions and displays.
This session, led by artist Rabiyah Latif, will introduce children to the basic skills of photography in a fun, hands-on session. Children can take still life and portrait photos and will have their own print to take home at the end of the session.
Children can attend just one or all of the sessions, we don't take advance booking but we do expect participants to be able to stay for most of the session. The sessions run from 10.30 -12.30.
Please note - tickets for children (accompanying adults free if they want to stay) are £5 per head from the learning zone at the start of the session.
We will be offering the participants the opportunity to work towards the Explore or Discover Arts Award as part of these sessions.
