Our Saturday Arts Club for children aged 5-11 is a chance for children (and their parents) to experience working with real artists and creative practitioners. Children will be able to explore their creativity under the gentle guidance of Ruth Radcliffe, Benny Semp or one of our guest artists and be inspired by the lovely works in our exhibitions and displays.
Children can attend just one or all of the sessions, we don't take advance booking but we do expect participants to be able to stay for most of the session. The sessions run from 10.30 -12.30.
This week children will have the chance to visit our brand new Staffordshire Hoard Gallery and create their own Saxon style pot to take home, with local artist Lorraine Bates.
Please note - tickets for children (accompanying adults free if they want to stay) are £5 per head from the art classroom in the learning zone at the start of the session. Please wear old clothes as this is a messy session.
We will be offering the participants the opportunity to work towards the Explore or Discover Arts Award as part of these sessions.
For more information please call Sarah Walker, Informal Learning Officer on 0121 348 8266 or email.
