Butterfly walk

Butterfly walk

Location: Sarehole Mill

20th July 2014 - 20th July 2014

Join this guided walk and be part of the National Butterfly Survey. Help monitor these fluttery creatures with a gentle stroll along the river Cole, looking for, counting and learning about butterflies. All data will be recorded as part of the national butterfly survey. This walk is ranger led. 10.30am-12.30pm. Free event . Leaving from the carpark at Sarehole Mill at 10.30am.

On return to the mill other butterfly themed activities will take place at the mill. There will be craft activities (making large bamboo butterflies with artist Jim Morris) and the rangers will host a display on the life of the butterfly. Also on display will be drawers with butterflies from the Natural History collection (Birmingham Museums Trust). These 'butterfly drawers' are normally stored at the Museum Collection Centre.
