A three mile walk along the river Cole, looking at its often forgotten history and many mills that once lined its banks. The walk starts at 12.30pm at the Greet bridge on Stratford Road and is led by George Demidowicz, historian and archaeologist. Alternative starting point for this walk is at Sarehole Mill, leaving the mill at 12.15pm. FREE event, to book a place, please ring the mill on 0121 7776612 Part of Hall Green Arts Festival
Starting point for the walk is Greet bridge on the Stratford Road. However, if you prefer to leave your car at the mill carpark, we will guide you to the starting point, leaving the mill at 12.45pm.
You can just come on the day, but to ensure your place it is advisable to book.
George Demidowicz worked together with film maker Theo Gove-Humphries to produce 'The Story of the River Cole', a film about the river and available on DVD.
