The lanterns can be made as a family activity - all working together - or individually, so feel free to come as a group or by yourself and meet fellow crafters! Most lanterns can be completed in 2 hours, or you might want to create a more elaborate designs and spend the afternoon creating your individual piece.
All materials will be provided. Please note that glue will be used so make sure you ware wearing something you don't mind getting gluey.
The aim is for all lanterns created in the workshops to take part in an evening lantern procession on Saturday 12th October (starting 6.30). The procession will start at the mill and move a few hundred yards to a small outdoor performance arena for an exciting light and sound show and hot chocolate afterwards. Lanterns will be stored at the mill until procession time, after which they are of course yours to take home.
