Staffordshire Hoard Tour & Visit to Conservation Studio

Join an exclusive tour about the Staffordshire Hoard where you will find out the latest developments and go behind the scenes to meet the experts. Advance booking is essential.

 Tours start at 12.30pm and finish at 1.45pm. Meet in the Round Room.

You will first visit the Hoard exhibition under the expert eye of one of our curators who will tell you more about this fascinating find. This is an exclusive visit for the ticket holders.

Following this you will be escorted to the Conservation Studios where the Hoard Conservation team will be on hand to demonstrate how they are conserving the Staffordshire Hoard. You can hear about recent findings and research and also have privileged views of the Hoard under powerful microscopes. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions.

You will be asked to leave your bags and coats in a secure place before entering the Conservation studios.

Tickets cost £20 per person and must be booked in advance.

Please note:  This tour involves some walking and reaching the Conservation Department via a staircase. If you have Mobility problems, please contact Louise Alden prior to making a booking to discuss access.
