    This exhibition is drawn entirely from the Museums’ collection and includes a major showing of works from the J Leslie Wright Bequest acquired in 1953. It considers the high point of the watercolour medium in the first half of the nineteenth-century, when the technical, intellectual and social conditions made it a major art form.
