4am Museum Collections Centre
26th April 2010
Saturday 27th meeting at 3.45am - photographer's experience inside and outside the MCC at the magical time of 4am.
The fifth 4am Project moved to Nechells in Birmingham where Karen Strunks and thirty other photographers experienced an early morning visit (3.45am) to Birmingham's Museum Collections Centre. And what an experience - many of the photographer's felt they had been taken to another world (Warehouse 13 meets 'Raiders of the Lost Ark') and our experience of opening up to a group in the middle of the night also made for an interesting night out.
The '4am Project' fed into Birmingham's 24 Hour Blog, a part of the City's bid to become the first UK City of Culture in 2013. A bid that Birmingham aims to win.
Images from the visit can be found on Flickr.
Further photography events are planned at the MCC on Saturday 19th July and Saturday October 9th (see events listing for further booking information). There is also a MCC Open Day on May 3rd.
