Last chance to see the Perseus Series by Edward Burne-Jones
14th September 2009
REVISED CLOSING DATE: After seven months at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, the Perseus Series display will now close to the public on Sunday 20th September, and not 4th October as incorrectly advertised, to enable it to return to the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. We sincerely apologise for this error and any inconvenience it may cause. The gallery will reopen to the public with major works from the museum’s world-famous Pre-Raphaelite Collection on Saturday 26th September.
Edward Burne-Jones - Perseus Series
The Perseus Series paintings have been on show in Birmingham since 28th February. This is the last week of the exhibition, and it may be a long time until you have the opportunity to see them again. The paintings are on loan from Stuttgart's Staatsgalerie. This exhibition is the first time that the complete set of eight paintings have been shown in the UK.
The exhibition is also supplemented by sketches for the Purseus series from Birmingham's Collection. This is the last opportunity to see the wonderful Pereus Series of paintings and sketches together in Birmingham. The exhibition closes on Sunday September 20th.
