Obama's People by Nadav Kander at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery's latest exhition opens on 18 April. The World Premiere of Obamas People, a set of photographic images of Obama and his administration, by Nadav Kander.

To celebrate President Obama’s inauguration, the New York Times photo director, Kathy Ryan, teamed up with Nadav Kander to photograph the administration of Barack Obama as it was being assembled. Fifty-two photos later, the leading figures of America have been captured in Obama’s People. Many of the images will be life sized and included in the show is a ‘tunnel of power’. Visitors can walk between the portraits and view images of the Washington Monuments by night.

 

Nadav Kander is an original and highly regarded photographer. Living and working in London he is a regular contributor to the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Dazed and Confused, and the Sunday Times Magazine.
