Study Days in Birmingham

Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery are offering a new programme of informal study days at the Museum Collections Centre.
These are day long events for the enthusiastic amateur - no prior knowledge of the subject is necessary. The Egyptian Study Day (Friday April 15th) will include a closer look at real artefacts through handling sessions and tours, an introduction to the use of evidence and an opportunity to learn how to write your name in hieroglyphs.
On Friday June 17th we are offering a Ancient Civilisations Study Day. This will focus on Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt and the Americas.
Both sessions are led by Phil Watson, Head of Collections Management and members of the Public Programmes team. The study days will be informal and enjoyable with lots ot time to ask questions.
