Singles Night at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
31st January 2011
BMAG's Popular Singles Night Returns Friday 11th February
Friday 11th February 6.30 – 10.00 pm
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery’s Singles Night is back by popular demand this year, just in time to meet a new love interest for Valentine’s Day.
Guests will be able to enjoy a drink from one of our bars in the beautiful surroundings of the Round Room and Industrial Gallery after dark, whilst listening to live jazz and blues music by ‘Tipitina’. There’s no need to feel shy – our fun ice breaker activity will get everyone talking, and there will be plenty to discuss on one of our guided tours that night.
Tickets to this event include free entry to the blockbuster exhibition, The Poetry of Drawing’, the largest survey of Pre-Raphaelite watercolours and drawings ever staged. The Pre-Raphaelite artists were well versed in the language of love, and there will be plenty to discuss as some of our fun-loving tour guides take groups round the exhibition, or guests are welcome to explore by themselves too.
The sparks of romance at our Singles Nights in the past have already resulted in two marriages and, even if you don’t meet the love of your life, you will certainly have a fantastic night out!
Tickets for this event are £10.00 per person. You can purchase your ticket on this website, by calling the box office during museum opening hours (0121 303 1966), or by calling in at the Gas Hall reception desk.
