Summer Activities for the Family
29th July 2010
Join us for a great day out at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery this summer.
There are family activities throughout the summer holidays in addition to the weekend events that the museum has throughout the year.
The T.rex – The Killer Question exhibition is great for all the family, and you can also get ‘get crafty’ with all sorts of dinosaur-related crafts such as making dino door hangers, photo frames, collages. There are also days when you can meet our dinosaur expert and palaeontologist and handle real Tyrannosaurus bones.
Our Steve McCurry Retrospective photographic exhibition in the Waterhall Gallery is proving to be very popular. There are opportunities for the kids to get creative too. They can create some works of art such as 'pictures from pictures' and mosaic collages. There is also a chance to work with professional photographers to create digital landscapes.
There are opportunities to meet our Anglo-Saxon soldier and find out what life was like in Anglo-Saxon times – and of course you can view the amazing Staffordshire Hoard treasure in Gallery 16.
View the Exhibitions and Events page to find out What's On.
