Aston Heritage Day on 22nd June
20th June 2013
11.30am - 5pm*
Join us on Saturday 22nd June for the fifth annual Aston Heritage Day, and celebrate everything amazing about Aston! Fourteen different venues will be opening their doors and offering a range of activities, for free.
Why not take a short tour of Aston Villa's football ground, or visit a mosque? Take a trip on our historic bus to see the beautiful Victorian Barton's Arms pub (with free lunches for the first twenty visitors!), watch Irish dancing at the Sacred Heart Club, or have a go with a fire engine's hose!
Tours, trails, children's activities, refreshments, music, dancing, workshops and more - all free!
There's a huge range of venues to visit this year, and anyone picking up a passport and visiting nine or more venues will be entered into a Prize Draw!
Pick up a leaflet from Aston Hall, Aston or one of the participating venues listed below, or download the leaflet here (1.53Mb).
Taking part this year: Aston Hall, Birmingham Jame Masjid Mosque, Aston Villa FC, Aston Parish Church, Sacred Heart and St Margaret Mary Church, Aston Fire Station, Aston Library, Aston Learning Centre, Kajans, The Drum, The Bartons Arms, Tesco, South Aston Church, Sacred Heart Club, and historic buses supplied by Aston Manor Transport Museum.
