This weekend at Birmingham Museums

4th October 2012

Did you know that many of our museums offer free admission on the first weekend of the month (Saturday or Sunday depending on venue)? You can also enjoy a wide range of fascinating events and activities for all the family at all of our sites this weekend, including the ever-popular Big Brum History Buz.

Saturday 6th October
Free admission to the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter
10.30am – 4pm

Sunday 7th October
Free admission to Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall , Soho House and Sarehole Mill
12noon – 4pm

Aston Hall will also be celebrating all things Victorian with its Glorious Aston event.  This family fun day offers something for everyone.

Visitors can meet some real animals with Animal Tastic; a female tight rope walker will encourage everyone to have a practice on a low wire and the Fool Monty is on hand to teach you circus skills you never knew you had!

In celebration of the balloons that were launched into the air in Queen Victoria's day, visitors will be able to make their own kite and have ago at flying it in the park.

To complete the day, why not raise a toast to Queen Victoria with a jewelled goblet made in our craft workshop.
