The Big Brum History Buz and Book Bash at Aston Hall.
Did you know that many of our museums offer free admission on the first weekend of the month (Saturday or Sunday depending on venue)? You can also enjoy a wide range of fascinating events and activities for all the family at all of our sites this Jubliee Bank Holiday weekend, including the ever-popular Big Brum History Buz.
Sunday 3rd June
Free admission to Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill 12noon – 4pm
At Sarehole Mill you will also get a chance to meet Mick the Miller and let him give you an insight into his age-old craft.
Big Brum History Buz
Also on Sunday the Big Brum History Buz will be running its ‘Manufactories and Mansions’ open-top guided bus service to Aston Hall, Soho House and the Pen Room Museum. Due to the refurbishment work currently taking place at Soho House it is open on Sunday for guided tours only and no refreshments are available.
First bus 11.30 from Victoria Square.
Tickets: £3 adults, children free. No prebooking available. Operated by Birmingham Tours

Book Bash at Aston Hall
On Jubilee Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday the ever-popular Young Readers’ Birmingham Book Bash returns to Aston Hall. Two fantastic days of events, with an exciting line up of top children’s authors, poets and storytellers.
Free admission to Aston Hall 11am – 4pm
