Be a History Detective at Birmingham's Community Museums

Be a History Detective at Birmingham's Community Museums

19th April 2011

For the second year, children and families can sign up for the History Detectives Scheme and get a free History Detectives passport.

Take your passport along when you visit one of Birmingham's community museums to follow a trail and solve clues, or take part in an amazing event. Get your passport stamped at every site you visit to collect points - and the more points you collect, the more prizes you can win!

Families with the most points will be able to enter a grand prize draw, to win a one-of-a-kind museum experience, going behind the scenes and meeting people from Birmingham's past, with a chance to get your hands on some real history. Last year's winner learnt to sword fight at a Knight School, and helped the Master of Blakesley Hall clean the silver!

The community museums involved in the scheme are: Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, Sarehole Mill and Soho House.

To sign up for your passport scheme, which is free to join, please email your name, age and address to Rosie Barker
